Guss Hiddink say his side get a deserving victory from a resilient Aston Villa. We saw Hiddink play both Drogba and Anelka well together, something we thought was not possible, but we saw both of them hitting it off today.
The match could have gone either way, but Chelsea defenders stood their ground with Alex giving all his best today. We also saw a wonderful performance from lampard and skipper Terry.
I tell you if Scolari was still coach of Chelsea today, Chelsea would not have come with a win, we saw a controlled Chelsea side today with some technical edge and they showed character.

the milan derby

what a wonderfull match between ac milan and inter milan. the derby has alwyas live up to expectation. The match really came to life when Pato pull one back for AC about 20 mins to the end of the match. After the goal AC really came out pursuing the match and they had a goal disallowed when Fellipo drive in one from pato cross into the net but he was offside. the game ended 2-1 in favour of inter.

Today we saw a new chelsea side defeat watford, the chelsea side we saw today are different from the one of Scolari, not just because they won, but with the way they played. They played as a team today with nice connecting passes and you can see the zeal in them that they wanted to win. Maybe the players didnt really felt happy with scolari, now that he is gone we hope the players will find the way and win chelsea some title.

magic hiddink

Who else to rescue Chelsea from their downhill drive than the magical Hiddink. Hiddink has a credible record hanging on his shoulder both with countries and clubs unlike Scolari who has only done well as a country coach but does not have that success in European club.
Hiddink has been given the job to turn Chelsea fortune around for the next three months before they can find a permanent coach. I wonder what they expect Hiddink to do with the club for the next three months- win both the champion league and the premiership together? And if he doesn’t , will the management feel he had left them down. I really do wonder what are the expectation of the management for hiddink and will the players be willing to work with him, putting in mind the way they conspire against their formal boss who they didn’t find appealing.
Well given his track record so far I am predicting that Hiddink will do a good job, at least better than Scolari and I see Chelsea taking their stand in the league. Man united and Liverpool beware, Chelsea is back in contention

scolari axed

As someone once said, a coach can make a player aswell as players can make a coach. The dismiss of Scolari as coach of chelsea has been attributed to the fact that a bunch of the chelsea players were not really digging the guy as reveal by chelsea captain Terry. Before putting the axe on Scolari, it was reported that the Chelsea owner had a meeting with some of the players, whom i am sure would have really push forward the issue of sacking the coach. Among the players that are reported to have been at that meeting were Cech, Ballack, Ashley Cole, Terry was not reported to be at that meeting and he was reported to be furious when he heard about the sack of Scolari. It seems as if we have some kind of mafia ring running in the club.

go scolari

Scolari is gone, who is going to replace him. The chelsea management has the habit of sacking at the wrong time, if you can remember the ways the previous two coaches were sacked. Now the new coach that is going to be employed will have to inherit a degenerated team, when the transfer window has closed.
From the start i had never supported the signing of scolari as coach of chelsea, when as a coach of portugal, he never really impressed me, and as for taking brazil to win the world cup..... for Christ sake, it is Brazil any junky can take Brazil to the world cup and win.
Maybe Grant should be called back, i feel he knows the players very well and has an understanding of the English game giving the promptness of situation to find a saviour for the club. No fresh coach can work on the club and do the magic as Grant can.

football transfer window

I felt really elated last night when I heard that Chelsea had completed a transfer deal for the Portuguese winger quaressma. Its what Chelsea need at the moment, a fast skillful winger who can run the flanks as Robben did in his days as a Chelsea player I do miss Robben, he is one of the reason I love watching Chelsea football then, it’s a shame we had to loss him to Real. Well he is gone.
What I think the Chelsea boss should do now is start investing on younger players because right now the club is made up of far older players that the future of the club looks bleak. The likes of Ballack and Deco are tired old legs that are dragging the team down the water. For me personally I didn’t see the reason for buying Deco in the first place when we have enough mid-fielders. Deco was a sentimental buy by Scolari. The money should have been used to buy younger players or better still an attacker which the team is lacking right now.

For arsenal I am happy for them that they have opted for experience this time, but I don’t think one experience player can do the trick. Though I see Arsenal out of the title race, I can still see the pulling a few surprises this season. You can never write them off completely

Liverpool, I don’t really know what to say about them, they are a good side but I think the manager inconsistency is killing them. To me Rafeal look confused, no doubt he is a good coach, the case with Keane will really show his confusion. They are still in the title race and I will say their hopes of winning the league lies on the form of Gerrald and Torres. Once torres can hit his goal scoring form of last season, then I can bet my money on them. But they have to be praying for the most experience, inform team Man U to slip. I see the title race between Man U and Liverpool.

The team I think anyone should be weary of right now is Arsenal and Spurs. They are like wounded lion ready to take their pound of flesh on any team that comes their way. Wenger and Redknapp are among the respected coaches in England, their reputation is at stack here and they are not going to go down without war. And in war there is casualties on all sides so I see them doing some damage.

Team of surprises this year will surely be Aston villa toping the list, a team full of spirit and a good coach. Another team I will tip to surprise this year is West Ham
